Renovation

My house is under renovation. For those who are lucky enough to have bought a move-in condition property, i really envy. My house is empty which mean no fittings, no lighting, no kitchen, no furniture, it's bacisally just pieces of walls.

2 weeks after collected the key

I begin with the plaster ceiling, godness sake, it takes two vendors to work concurrently to complete. One electrician, who pull the powerpoint and the other plaster ceiling professioner to build the ceiling according to the powerpoint, so one can't live without another. For god sake, i went through 3 sets of vendor include measurement, designing, negotiation and scheduling. These done in different days. Yeah i could have gotten a main contractor but too bad i didn't managed to get one, and i really got no idea where to get a professional, good and cheap. However, finally i managed to get a main contractor to get this done.

Then i begin with my flooring, for god sake again the flooring has deficient material from what i ordered, and since i ordered that material like 6 months ago, stock availability and pricing are a headache to me. Not only that, schedulling someone to monitor those workers are also a hell job for me. I got my nephew to manage this but in return, i pay him daily allowance, sponsored his three meals pluuuuuuus his friends, dispatch them thru and ford, not only that, i also sponsored his holiday trip, what a good deal for him huh? haha, ok lar, i love him laaa.Hell 1

Finally, both the top(ceiling) and the bottom (floor) are completed. I moved in. I know, i know it's still too early to do so since my kitchen is not up etc but can't afford to wait any longer. Cleaning up the messes, those dusts are so thick that you can't clean it at one goal, i cleaned and cleaned and cleaned. Then unpacking my stuff bit by bit.

One month later

2 weeks after moved in, start working on the air-conditioning and fans, sigh, another sourcing and nego and schedulling and monitoring arrangement, at a point of time, i event got my dad to supervise those workers. There was another mess, really mess, imagine all the drilling, wall hacking and all. That not inclusive of searching my right fans, yeah, i went days and days, shops to shops for right fans. Unpakcing almost completed. Hell 2.

3 months later

Which in now, i started the kitchen reno. Sigh, another hell here. First i need to abolish the existing tiles, then amend the piping to suit my design getting quotes and negotiation are another hell. Now my house is in the mess, the drilling...arrrggghhh. Hell 3

I've ordered the curtains, by then, it should be quite comfortable to stay. But then again, my itchy brain tells me, wall has to be painted too. arrrgggghhh.......

There is lotsa whinings here. It's indeed stressful, stressful but looking at the positive side, it's your house, your baby, you'll live in with satisfaction since every piece of work are managed by you. I'm looking forward to a completion.
