Christmas Day

Christmas day just over, well i realised two things.

First, there is a day call Boxing Day, which is after Christmas, usually the present to be opened on this day, well it's a custom? i don't know, all i know, people only open the gift the following day, unlike me :p. Well, it wasn't a realisation i supposed, but more a recall, ah ha, yeah, i have forgotten about boxing day, so i get all my nieces and nephews and friends to open the pressie on 25th. Ok, don't blame me since i am not staunch Christian.

Second, celebrating Christmas with family is more meaningful than having fun in the club/party. What are the differences? Well, it's warmth, laugh, chat, have good dinner, photos. While party would have to endure the smokes, spent a wild and sleepless and drunken night and got suffer from a sluggish, hangover day on the following day. I used to and always wonder why we did this bduring my younger days but no answer since that's the trend, everybody does everybody is doing. It's a trend, it's vanity, to be more cynical, it seems like partying sounds more glamore than the "boring" family outting.
As for me, i did spend a late night on the eve by wrapping 8-9 pressie one shot for all my beloved nieces and nephews, oh well. Then i spent a dim sum breakfast with a friend and lunch with family at my sister place on the following day. All family members gather together and so the usual stuff, one of my nephew indicate doesn't like the gift, hmm..5 years old but overall, kids are happy so long there are gift during this day and i'm always the provider 8 years ago:)
Well, perhaps i'm getting old, i really don't find it's fun to hangout in a party with friends than family. Why am i writting such blog? perhaps, many of my long lost friends start asking "what's your Christmas plan" and i realised many of us try to make it such a big thing. As the matter of fact, family orientation suit me more:)
